SECURE OUR FUTURE

November 2024

Secure the future of Van Gogh House and San Mei Gallery.

An update on our future

Over the last decade, Van Gogh House and San Mei Gallery have fostered vital cultural hubs in Brixton, South London, where art, culture and people come together.

Last month, we were saddened to receive the news that our core funder, in response to their own unexpected challenges, was forced to withdraw their funding. Whilst we are so grateful for this funder’s support to date, their backing accounted for 50% of our income and was crucial to continuing our work into 2025 and beyond.

We remain fully committed to our mission so we are launching a fundraising campaign to secure our future. We hope that with the incredible support of our audiences we can continue contributing to London’s inspiring artistic community.

Why this matters: Secure Our Future

Van Gogh House is a unique historic house where contemporary artists from all over the world are given the space and resources to create and where we share the rich history of Van Gogh’s time in London.

San Mei Gallery is a vital platform for emerging artists to grow and experiment, offering a crucial stepping stone in their careers.them opportunities and the platform to grow and experiment, often at a crucial point in their careers.

For 10 years, both have served as spaces for public programs with people at the centre – whether through school projects, art workshops for local youth, or simply being a welcoming space for anyone to explore art.

How can you help?

Many incredible artists and friends have already offered their support, and we are going to need your help to secure our spaces.
